Dan Maier is looking for volunteers to help maintain and water the new wildflower garden next to Southgate Station.

bee friendly flowers in a wooden bed labelled The Bee Friendly TrustThe newly planted flowerbeds outside Southgate Station may not be much to look at now, but before long they'll be brightening up people's journeys like the many others provided by the Bee Friendly Trust

We are lucky enough to have had the Bee Friendly Trust plant wildflowers and bulbs at our iconic tube station for all of us to enjoy.

It’s now up to us as a community to help maintain them, so if you’d like to help with watering for an hour on Friday 4th July at 11am, please contact Dan Maier:  asap.

If you can’t make that date but could you spend an occasional hour once a month to help watering, or even do an adhoc water, we’d love to hear from you, please also contact Dan.

Volunteering can be very rewarding and is a great way to meet like-minded people who care about making Southgate brighter, so do join us!
