Following a stabbing in Palmers Green on Saturday night the Metropolitan Police have arrested a man on suspicion of attempted murder.

It appears that passers-by called 999 after discovering a young man with a knife wound in the neck on Aldermans Hill at around 9.30pm. The victim was taken to hospital and the police initially reported that he had life-threatening injuries. Subsequently, they have stated that his life is not in danger.

A section of Aldermans Hill between Grovelands Road and Old Park Road, was sealed off by the police.

It is thought that the stabbing may have occurred in Broomfield Park.

The arrested man handed himself in at police station on Sunday morning. He was also wounded and was taken to hospital.

The police also tweeted about a separate incident in Broomfield Park on Saturday evening (time not stated). A 49 year old man was asked for money by a group of youths and when he refused they chased him out of the park. Two of them were arrested for this attempted robbery.
