 salmons brook scene

On Saturday 2nd March the Pymmes Brookers - a group of volunteers who work to improve our local streams - will be shifting their focus away from their favourite watercourse to one of its tributaries - the Salmons Brook.  They'll be meeting up at a bus stop in Hadley Wood and making the journey from the source of the Salmons Brook to its confluence with the Pymmes Brook. at a point within the new Meridian Water development.

Travel will be a mixture of walking (around ten miles on- and off-road) and bus journeys to skip sections where the brook is inaccessible.  In order to be sure of getting on the single-deck buses, there will be a limited number of places on the walk and you're advised to book your place on Eventbrite as soon as possible (see link below).  The journey will finish at a bus stop near Ikea in Edmonton (the rural idyll pictured in the photo above).  Full details are on Eventbrite.

The next regular meeting of the Pymmes Brookers will be in the Arnos Arms on Thursday 17th January from 6.30 to 8.30pm.
