great big green week 2022 encaf editedGreat Big Green Week 2022 starts on Saturday. As last year, Enfield Climate Action Forum (EnCAF) is organising events throughout the week - though rather fewer than last year, where there were so many events that people found it difficult to choose between them!

Possibly the two most important are the all-day drop-in Health & Climate Hubs (also referred to as community panels), each comprising a series of mini-events investigating the links between climate change and public health. These are part of a project funded by North Middlesex University Hospital Trust It is specifically targeted in Edmonton and Eastern Enfield, which have some of the most deprived parts of the borough. Furthermore, the east of the borough is particularly affected by overcrowding, lack of trees and green spaces and the "heat island" effect. These all have serious health consequences and are being exacerbated by rising temperatures.

For more information see below and on the EnCAF website.
