An Evening with Ricky Tomlinson - Retirement My Ar*e!

On Friday 25th September the stage at Chickenshed in Southgate will be graced, if that’s the right word, by actor and comedian Ricky Tomlinson, and the audience will be treated to “an intimate, funny and revealing conversation about his extraordinary life and career”.

Best known to millions as the unforgettable Jim Royale in The Royle Family and Bobby Grant in Brookside, Ricky’s story goes far beyond the screen. From working as a plasterer and banjo player to becoming a comedian, political activist, trade union campaigner and award-winning actor - and even an unwilling guest of Her Majesty's Prison Service - Ricky has lived a life filled with remarkable twists, challenges and unforgettable moments.

Hosted by Asa Murphy, expect an evening of candid stories, laughter, memories from a legendary career and plenty of surprises along the way.
