Community art exhibition: Art Is

Pop into the Southgate Club during its opening hours (see details below) to view the second ART IS exhibition, showcasing the powerful expressions of some unique artists who are in care in our community.

The art works are created at sessions run by the Friends of Broomfield Park in their clubhouse for an NHS wellbeing group and for clients and carers from two local care homes: the Bourne Hill Care Home and the Queen Anne Care Home.

Friends' co-chair David March, who coordinates the twice-weekly sessions, said: "The groups are really excited about this second opportunity to exhibit their art after the fantastic exhibition last August. Like last year's, the 2025 event showcases the creativity of participants and celebrates the caring and supportive community which gives them an opportunity to express themselves."
