Discussion evening: The history of black activism in the UK

Enfield Caribbean Association (ECA) is organising an evening of discussion, on Saturday 31 October at the Millfield , 5pm. The evening will explore the history of Black Activism in the UK.

As part of our Black History Month celebration for 2020, Enfield Caribbean Association (ECA) is organising an evening of discussion, on Saturday 31 October at the Millfield Theatre.

The evening will explore the history of Black Activism in the UK.

Black Lives Matter activist Delia Mattis will be joined by actor, playwright and director, Kwame Kwei-Armah, OBE. Sir Geoff Palmer, OBE, Professor Emeritus in the School of Life Sciences at Heriot-Watt University and human rights activist, will also be joining the panel remotely.

Join us and engage with individuals who have and continue to be at the forefront of the fight for equality.

As a result of social distancing restrictions there are only 100 places available for the event.

Tickets are only available by telephoning the Millfield Theatre Box Office on 020 8807 6680. The Box Office is open Monday - Saturday 10am-5pm.

Tickets are priced for £10 and £8 for ECA members, so make sure you book your tickets early.


Every year, we hold an annual Black History Month event to celebrate the contributions that black people have made to the economic, social and cultural life of the UK. This year, we decided to hold our Black History Month in February to coincide with the celebrations in the USA and the Caribbean.
