Enfield Society talk: The South Lodge of Enfield Chase

Not much is known about the South Lodge of Enfield Chase, established in the early 15th Century. We have few details about it until after the Civil War; for some of the 19th century it was a school, and a prospectus published probably in the early 1900’s gives us our only interior pictures, to go with various 18th and 19th century exterior views.

Ian Jones will be giving a talk about the site’s history and what lies there today.
