Forty Hall Farm's Harvest Gathering

Next Sunday, come and join us as we celebrate one of the best times of year on the farm — harvest.We’ll be bringing together our monthly Farmers’ Market with Apple Day in the orchard, squash picking in the market garden and grape pressing with Forty Hall Vineyard for a day celebrating the fruit, veg and wine from here at Forty Hall Farm. The fruits of our labour !
🎃 Head into the market garden and harvest your own squash, grown organically here on the farm. Choose one from the field, learn a little about how it’s grown and take home something delicious for the kitchen, complete with recipe. Will you pick Amoro, Meteor, Futsu or maybe a Jack Be Little? Our squash may look like fairytale pumpkins, but they are grown to be cooked, shared and eaten.
🍎 Take a wander into the orchard for Apple Day, celebrating the heritage fruit trees looked after by the community orchard volunteers. They’ll have lots of delicious apples available to buy.
🍇 Over at the Forty Hall Vineyard stall, you can have a go at pressing grapes and celebrate the end of this year’s grape harvest — with our wines available to enjoy by the glass or bottle. And there’ll be plenty of food… glorious food !
🧀 With seasonal veg, bakery, cheese, ferments, preserves, dairy and more- from here on the farm and an array of local makers and producers.
🍕 And of course, top notch Streetfood from @punjabishack @sojok_syrian_toasties @thepizzagig @the.ugly.dumplings @walthamstow_hot_dogs @goodigutz burgers
🎠 And for our younger visitors, there’ll be a bouncy castle and children’s ride to add to the fun.
