Heritage walk: Broomfield Park to Grovelands Park and back

Join us for a fun and informal Heritage Walk through the beautiful parks of Enfield! Discover hidden gems, learn cool stories about the area's history, and enjoy the great outdoors with fellow explorers. This in-person event is perfect for anyone who loves nature, history, or just a good walk with friends. Don’t miss out on this awesome way to connect with Enfield’s past and present!

🎨The walk will be led by Art Historian Dr. Güler İnce, who will guide us through the history and heritage of Broomfield Park and Grovelands Park, sharing stories and insights along the way.

Join us for a relaxed and friendly community walk exploring two beautiful Enfield parks, while discovering some of their fascinating local history and heritage.

The walk will start and finish at Broomfield Park.

🚶 The Route

Broomfield Park → Grovelands Park → Broomfield Park

Approximately 6.5 km / 4 miles, including time exploring both parks and short heritage talks.

🌳 About the Walk

We’ll start with a beautiful walk through Broomfield Park, exploring some of its fascinating features and history, including Broomfield House, the historic ponds, Conservatory and Remembrance Garden.

We’ll then walk together to Grovelands Park, where we’ll explore the lake, trees and beautiful landscape while hearing a little about the park’s history and heritage.

After exploring Grovelands Park, we’ll walk back together and finish at Broomfield Park.

This is not a fast-paced walk. It’s about getting active, enjoying nature, discovering local history and connecting with our community.
