Jazz at Karamel: Re-imagining Monk with Locomotive

Locomotive returns to Karamel with: Henry Lowther (trumpet), Chris Biscoe (sax), Art Themen (tenor), Alcyona Mick (piano), Dave Green (bass), Les Cyrkel (dep'ing for Stu Butterfield) (drums).

Locomotive features the music, imaginings and rhythm-a-nings of Thelonious Monk, highly respected and Grammy award-winning American jazz pianist and composer!

Stu Butterfield has been an established and highly regarded player on the UK jazz scene since the late sixties. He has brought together many many jazz bands like Locomotive, that has some of his favourite jazz musicians. He has also programmed hundreds of jazz gigs for local Haringey venues like Karamel. Stu continues to programme his favourite jazz bands at Karamel on the first Thursday of every month.
