About Red Clay Music

Red Clay Music is four friends who play music and already run community music events locally. Their aim is to bring music to more venues locally.

Ticket prices have been kept low for the first year of operation (£10.00) to encourage people to come along. Online tickets for the first event in March 2026 sold out. It was a wonderful event; the audience were so supportive and appreciative, and the artistes were delighted with reception they received.

The name Red Clay Music was chosen because it suggests roots music - but not a specific music style.

Where else can you hear our music?

The Reprobates (Steve Vincent and John Jay) with Vic Newman, host an open mic on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month in Obie's Bar at the Southgate Club. They also organise the music for Wildstock (a charity festival in  Woodcroft Wildspace, N21).

As well as performing in pubs, clubs and at festivals, the Reprobates play for attendees of the memory cafe in St Andrews' church.

That Blue Patch (Ruth Mignano and Dave Buckwell) host two open mic events a month - 1st Tuesday at Winchmore Hill Sports Club, and 2nd Wednesday at the Little Green Dragon Ale House. They also curate the music and provide the PA for all events in Broomfield Park Orchard.

They perform regularly in various Hertford venues, at St Harmonica's Blues Club, at private parties and for festivals (Letchworth, Baldock, Royston, Barnet etc).
