This is an opportunity for residents to engage with local Southgate Councillors: Stephanos Ioannou; Chris Joannides; Elisa Morreale.

The future of the Fox Lane Liveable Neighbourhood is certain to be discussed. In this context, see the following excerpt from a newsletter sent to ward residents by Councillor Ioannou on 1st October:

LTNs – Progress Towards Delivering Our Promise

All Conservative councillors in Enfield remain committed to our manifesto pledge to remove existing LTNs and stop future planned schemes. My personal commitment has not changed: this was a central condition of my standing again as a councillor, and I remain determined to see it delivered. We are in the early stages of developing plans to suspend and remove existing LTNs across Enfield, with a particular focus on Meadway and Fox Lane. I am heavily involved in this process and have already worked with officers to draw up detailed proposals aimed at making removal happen as swiftly and smoothly as possible, restoring access to roads currently restricted by these schemes. We have only been in charge for four months, and I am proud of the progress we have already made with officers. There is still work to complete before changes can take effect, but we are actively working through the practical steps needed to deliver our promise. The suspension of the planned Bush Hill Park LTN further demonstrates our firm opposition to these schemes. It is a clear step towards honouring our commitment to prevent new LTNs while progressing plans to remove those already in place. I understand residents’ frustration with longer journeys and restricted access. We will continue pressing this work forward and will share the timetable as plans are finalised. Our commitment remains clear: we want these LTNs removed, and we are working to make that happen.
