St Harmonica's Blues Club: Tim Penn & The Second Line + Dave Barnes

We are looking forward to this Friday, when Tim Penn & The Second Line come to entertain us with some top drawer piano-led blues. No one does New Orleans and Louisiana music quite like Professor Tim Penn, who always ensures that he surrounds himself with the finest musicians.
Tim is a regular at Ronnie Scotts, where he usually packs the place, and it is always refreshing to see a true piano led evening. If you like Professor Longhair, Dr John, Allen Toussaint, James Booker, Huey Smith and The Clowns, then this is a band that you won’t want to miss. In Tim’s own words “This is the blues, but with a great big smile on its face”.
Support comes from the Godfather of North London Blues, ‘Mad Dog’ Dave Barnes with his slide guitar, harmonica and unrivalled vocals.
Dave Barnes will play at 8.30pm followed by two sets from Tim Penn and the Second Line starting around 9.15pm.
Membership Cards
We hope you’ll choose to renew your vows and remind you that 2026 Membership Cards are available on the door @ £10 for the year. You’ll need your monochrome 2026 membership card for free admission throughout 2026 to all Friday Blues evenings and Sunday Jam nights. We just ask for a contribution into the hat to go towards the musicians’ costs.
