We're always delighted to welcome the Cadillac Kings and particularly on Friday 17th when they use this gig to launch their latest CD, 'Crash & Burn’ at the beginning of a Spring UK tour.
'A band at the top of their game' is how Blues Matters magazine describes them and they have over 50k hits on our Blues Channel from a previous show at the club. Firm favourites on the blues, r&b, rock & roll & swing dance scenes. The Cadillac Kings feature five of the UK's top roots musicians:
- Mike Thomas - vocals, harmonica, slide guitar
- Mal Barclay - lead guitar, vocals
- Tim Penn - piano, accordion, vocals
- Jason Reay - drums
- Paul Cuff - double bass & Fender bass.
Inspired by early rhythm & blues styles with a distinctly modern take lyric-wise, this is a band that has earned a reputation for wowing audiences from night clubs to festivals, from theatres to dance halls, the length & breadth of the UK & Europe, from the Canary Islands to the Arctic circle. Check them out at www.cadillackings.co.uk
With support at 8.30pm from Cut The Mustard: acoustic roots with glorious harmonies from David Oxley and Martin Kaszak.
Cadillac Kings play just after 9.00pm.
Admission is free to card-holding St Harmonica’s Blues Club Members (membership costs just £10 for the year) otherwise £10 on the door. The hat is passed around to pay for the musicians.
