St Harmonica's Blues Club: The Blues Chapter + 'Mad Dog' Dave Barnes

Friday 13 September 8.30pm

The Southgate Club, 17 Chase Side, N14 5BP (Entrance is in Crown Lane)

Simply our most popular band the Blues Chapter are all exceptional musicians who love what they do and convey this to their audience whoever they may be. Hot shot blues and Americana with Jesse Thomas on guitar, Jacob Thomas on keys, and the incomparable Sky Wood on vocals, guitar and harmonica. Niol Sweeney makes the trip from Bristol to drum while Lindsay Fraser-Craig plays some mean bass lines.

The band is supported by the vocals, slide guitar and harmonica of the godfather of North London Blues, ‘Mad Dog' Dave Barnes.

This is the same line up which played at our first ever night at the Southgate Club back in January 2019 when we had to stop people coming in as the venue got too full. Arrive early to avoid disappointment.

The Blues Chapter will play two sets from 9.00pm following Dave Barnes’ set which starts at 8.30pm.

You’ll need your red 2024 membership card for admission on the night. If you haven’t yet become a member we can sell you this at the door for just £10 and, as there are only four months of the year to go, we will include you 2025 membership card too; deal of the year!

The hat goes around for donations towards musicians’ costs.

See you there

See you soon,

Dave, Simon, & John

While we admire and support the Christmas campaigns that we see pop up in December, we also know that help is urgently needed all year round, each and every year. As some people pack away after the festive break, we are still here.

Our support is not limited to a food package, but it leaps beyond - we form connections, we listen and respond to everyone who steps through our doors. We open up a warm, safe, environment which aims to feel like a home away from home.

For us to continue to thrive and grow, and keep supporting as many people as possible, we are asking you to become a Friend of Cooking Champions. Even a donation of just £5-10 per month can make a HUGE impact on the lives of those who come through our doors.

Pop to our People's Fundraising page to donate, and we promise to keep you updated with how your support is making a difference. Thank you, we appreciate you! Team Cooking Champions
