St Harmonica's Blues Club: The Customtones + Swifty Lezarre

The Southgate Club, 17 Chase Side, N14 5BP (Entrance is in Crown Lane)

We make no apology in stating that the Customtones are one of our favourite blues bands. The originality of Martin Fieber’s slide guitar playing combined with terrific musicianship from the rest of the band are what makes them stand out.Martin Fieber, the Sultan of Slide, has been described as Britain’s best kept slide secret. He makes all his own guitars under his Customtone label and plays them in a unique way handling original and covered material with style and humour. Steve Taylor on keyboards, Mick Parker on drums and Terry Duggan on bass guitar are all masters of what they do but put the four of them together and the result exceeds the sum of their individual parts; I believe that’s called synergy. Whatever, you would be crazy to miss them. And talking of crazy; this week's support filled by the larger than life persona that is The Right Reverend Swifty Lezarre giving us his take on the Blues with his Dobro guitar. A great night in prospect.

Admission is by ticket only at just £10.00 and we are retaining our ticketing system until the end of July. We are working closely with the Southgate Club to make sure everyone feels comfortable and can remain as safe as possible. Capacity is increasing to 100 so the room will still not feel crowded; table service will end (although no sitting at the bar) there is no limit to numbers at tables and dancing is back on the agenda. We still suggest face coverings when moving around but this is up to you.

Tickets are available on the following link:

Doors are at 7.45pm with support act at 8.30 followed by two sets from the main act

In the unlikely event that the gig has to be cancelled due to Covid we'll immediately offer a full refund.
