London is blessed with literally hundreds of trails for walkers, but one of the best known, longest and surprisingly green is the 78-mile Capital Ring, which encircles the metropolis about half way to the boundary. Along the way, it passes many places of historical and cultural significance. Though not passing through Enfield Borough, it is easily reached at places like Finsbury Park, Stoke Newington and Hackney Wick. As the author of its best selling guidebook, and having been its route manager for several years, Colin is well qualified to speak about its route and attractions.
