Based loosely on the life of Clémentine Delait, Rosalie is the story of a 19th century bride with a hormone disorder.
Rosalie was born with her face and body covered in hair, but she and her father have kept her secret safe all her life until Abel, an indebted and unsuspecting bar owner, marries her for her dowry. This affecting romance is a story of hope, defiance and radical self-acceptance, filmed in the village of Forges des Salles in central Brittany.
