Talkies Community Cinema has a proud history of commissioning 40 original short films to date.
Building on this legacy, we are launching the Talkies Short Film Awards — a new initiative that showcases outstanding short-form storytelling and celebrates creative talent through cash awards, audience and jury prizes, and public screenings. Together, our commissions and awards create a vibrant platform that nurtures new voices, champions diverse perspectives, and continues Talkies’ mission to make filmmaking accessible and inspiring to our audiences .
