Palmers Greenery Community Café, Broomfield Park, Aldermans Hill, N13 4PL///scan.design.clap

A guided 90-minute walk in Broomfield Park to discover some of the oldest, most notable and most interesting trees in the park.

Get ready to discover the hidden gems of Broomfield Park and learn more about the importance of trees in our ecosystem. Don't miss out on this opportunity to connect with nature and fellow enthusiasts. See you there!

Join us for a guided Tree Walk and discover some of the most fascinating species in our landscape!

Learn about the Strawberry Tree, known for its striking red bark and edible fruit; the Pride of India Tree, with its elegant summer blooms and vibrant autumn foliage; and the Dawn Redwood, a living fossil once thought extinct, now thriving with its soft, feathery leaves.

We’ll explore many more remarkable trees along the way, uncovering their stories, ecological roles, and cultural significance. Whether you're a seasoned nature enthusiast or simply curious about the green spaces around you, this walk offers a unique opportunity to connect with the natural world.

Come along, ask questions, and enjoy a relaxed stroll among some truly special specimens!

John Cole, community engagement officer, will be on hand to answer your questions about the plans for the House and Park.

Distance: Roughly 2.5 kms

Duration: Around 90 minutes

Start and finish: The Palmers Greenery Community Cafe by the tennis courts in the middle of the park. Feel free to grab a drink from the Cafe beforehand, though we will start on time!

Wrap up for the expected weather conditions. We will go ahead except in a thunderstorm. Suitable for all ages.
