Planet Play is Chickenshed’s magical world of sensory learning, wonder and exploration for babies and toddlers ages 0-3yrs

These fun, immersive sessions invite little ones to discover the world around them through song, music, and movement.

Created by Chickenshed’s Performances to Children team, Planet Play supports early communication and language development in a joyful, playful way. 

Join Chickenshed to learn new songs, play with puppets, dance and enjoy special time together.

Tales from the Shed

Tales from the Shed are vibrant, inclusive theatre shows that are perfect for young children. They are informal, lively and amazingly engaging as the performers and audience share the same space.

Every carefully planned show incorporates educational songs, movement and language games, which help promote brain development and early learning in young children. 

Every show is different, with a new theme incorporated into the show each week.  

Chickenshed’s wonderfully diverse team presents exciting stories featuring their much-loved characters – from Can-Can the beautiful Bird to laid-back Lion Down and The Things That Goes Blurgh!

Encyclopaedia of Happiness

When the pages of the Encyclopedia of Happiness start to fade, joy begins disappearing from Joytopia!

Join Professor O’Brain and his spirited assistant, Sunny, on a magical, musical journey to find the Grand Philosopher and rescue happiness itself.

Along the way they’ll encounter thrilling surprises, enchanting challenges and a whirlwind of emotions… but will they uncover the true meaning of happiness before it’s too late.

Shed the day away through dance, play, and guided movement - welcoming and accessible for all abilities.

After a brilliant summer run, the ultimate storytelling collaboration returns Totally Tales is back! It was bound to happen eventually: a magical meeting of minds between Chickenshed’s Tales from the Shed team and Tales Toolkit creators of innovative online training and resources that help develop early storytelling skills. 

Now, they've joined forces to create a show bursting with the joy, creativity, and wonder of storytelling.

Watch as the much-loved Tales characters use Tales Toolkit’s storytelling framework to create a set story and one made by YOU! That’s right every show is interactive, and your ideas help shape the adventure. 

Bring along your story ideas, a favourite toy, or a special item from home (just no live animals or dinosaurs, please!) and see how your imagination can inspire something magical on stage.
