Words on the Street: narrative mapping, sign design & stop-motion animation

The second workshop from the Soft Power Agency invites people to map local narratives and bring new signs of love and soft powers amidst the streetscapes of Palmers Green.

 

Key activities:

–– What is Soft Power: what does they mean to each of us?

–– Map local signage and word spot. 

–– Collective imagination practices to envision new narratives and textures, to spark community connections, civic agency and soft power. 

–– Make speculative signage: create our own new designs.

–– Create a stop-motion video with animator Camrhon Mitchell. 

 

Some of the new signs can also be turned into posters, and local places/shops/homes invited to display them.
