Welcome to Unique Minds Tutoring, where every child is supported to learn, grow and thrive as their authentic self.

With over 30 years’ experience across mainstream schools, special schools and Alternative Provisions, I have dedicated my career to helping children feel understood, capable and confident. I have worked extensively in SEND, including part-time SENDCo roles, and have led specialist nurture and Forest School programmes for neurodiverse children with social, emotional and trauma-related needs.

My belief that neurodiversity is a natural human variation — not a disorder — sits at the heart of everything I do. At Unique Minds Tutoring, I focus on providing children with the tools, strategies and emotional understanding they need to succeed in a way that feels safe, positive and meaningful to them.

After taking time away from classroom teaching to homeschool my son and establish my own childminding business (rated Outstanding twice), I returned to education with a renewed passion for true inclusion. Now, through Unique Minds Tutoring, I tutor and coach children and families in a warm, neuroaffirming way that builds confidence, emotional resilience and a genuine love of learning.

Alongside running Unique Minds, I continue my work at Chickenshed Theatre — a true oasis of inclusion — and maintain my part-time SENDCo role in Haringey. I bring all of this experience together to offer a holistic, relationship-centred approach that honours each child’s individuality.
