enfield dispatch july 2020 450pxAn investigation by two local journalists has revealed that, despite a pledge by health secretary Matt Hancock, care homes in Enfield were refused Covid-19 tests for symptomatic residents at the peak of the pandemic.

The headline story in this month's Enfield Dispatch, written by editor James Cracknell and Bella Salteil, describes how Elizabeth Lodge in Winchmore Hill, site of the borough's worst cornonavirus outbreak, was refused testing on the grounds that Covid-19 had already spread widely throughout the home.
