The Friends of Grovelands Park are inviting everyone who enjoys and cares about the park to their quarterly meeting on Thursday 26th March.

A recent success for Friends of Grovelands Park was the completion of work to create a wildlife pond near the Church Hill gate

The Friends meet quarterly upstairs at the Kings Head on Winchmore Hill Green to discuss concerns, monitor park maintenance and plan community events. All lovers of Grovelands Park are invited.

Recent news updates on the Friends of Grovelands Park website include the completion of a new wildlife pond near the Church Hill entrance to the park - the result of "the dedication and persistence of the Friends of Grovelands Park, working hand in hand with the London Borough of Enfield to preserve and enhance this precious green space for current and future generations".

The new pond adds another dimension to Grovelands Park’s rich biodiversity. It joins the existing ancient woods, natural meadows, reed beds, lake and stream to create an even more diverse ecosystem for birds, butterflies, bats and mammals.

A further recent success has been the repair of equipment in the children's playground, following lobbying of the council by the Friends:

The playground is now in good repair, providing a safe and enjoyable space for young visitors once again. The restored equipment means families can return to using this popular facility with complete confidence.
