Enfield Council are currently developing their Health & Adult Social Care Market Position Statement.

The production of a Market Position Statement (MPS) is a requirement of the Care Act.

The purpose of the MPS is to:

  • set out the Council’s direction of travel in relation to Health & Adult Social Care Services including strategic and legislative drivers that are influencing change;
  • provide information to the social care market on population needs, service demands, commissioning priorities and resources available, to facilitate the effective planning and development of services to meet the needs of our residents – both now and in the future;
  • encourage understanding and provide a basis for constructive and creative dialogue with stakeholders and service providers
  • set out opportunities for market development and encourage the development of a quality adult social care market that is innovative, flexible, affordable, sustainable and diverse - offering a true choice for local people.
  • set out how service providers can work in partnership with the Council, stakeholders, service users and their carers to deliver change

The Council are inviting service users and their carers to input their views during  the development of the document, and are holding a meeting to obtain feedback on core elements of the Market Position Statement.

They will be holding a short event on Wednesday 24th February 10:00-12:00, Main Hall Park Avenue Disability Resource Centre to talk through the draft Market Position Statement and would value your attendance and views.

If you are able to join, please email   to confirm your attendance.
