Follow a self-guided walk around Enfield Town on 8th August and discover clues to its history “hidden in plain sight”.

To celebrate the Enfield Society's 90th anniversary, the recently created Enfield Town Action Team has devised a self-guided heritage trail around Enfield Town.

Called Hidden in Plain Sight, the tour organisers say: “It's time to look up and look around, because there is history right in front of you!”

On Saturday 8th August, between 12pm and 5pm, you can pick up a map and set out on a journey of exploration.

The trail will take between 45 minutes and an hour to complete. It will take you to “amazing local places and hidden gems”, and along the way you'll encounter various fun challenges, such as Lost and Found Bingo. You'll be invited to spot hidden details and be given “look closer clues” and “historical hints”. If you complete the trail, you'll receive a small prize.

To get involved, pick up your map from the Enfield Society's gazebo in Palace Gardens, located between M&S and Pearsons.
