On Wednesday 28th May and Sunday 1st June young sleuths are invited to get on the trail of some of the amazing trees in Broomfield Park.
Broomfield Park is full of trees, but some of them are more special than others. Some were already there when the formerly private land was turned into a park more than 120 years ago. Others are examples of unusual or interesting species of tree.
This half term there will be a chance for kids to go on the hunt for some of the park's special trees. Just pop into Broomfield Conservatory after 2.30 in the afternoon on Wednesday 28th May or Sunday 1st June and ask for a free tree trail sheet. Then follow the trail around part of the park, carry out the activities listed on the sheet, find the answers to the questions, fill them in on the sheet and then take it back to the Conservatory before it closes at 4.30. You'll then be given an answer sheet and a small prize.
This activity is organised by the Conservatory Group on behalf of the Friends of Broomfield Park.
