This autumn the Collage Writing Room is offering some exciting new courses with Creative Writing Foundation parts 1 & 2, and Write Into Childhood: Children’s & YA Course led by Waterstones Children’s Book Prize Winner, Sita Brahmachari – as well as established favourites and a chance to Meet a Literary Agent: Talk with Sara Langham of David Higham Associates (date TBC).

Finding the Poem: Sets 1 and 2 with Paul Lyalls

A course for anyone who wants to liberate their creativity and immerse themselves in the joy of language. Playful, fun, entertaining, enlightening – explore your word power! All levels welcome.

Set 1: Monday evenings, 6.30pm to 9pm. Sept 13, 20, 27, Oct 4, 11, 18.

Life Writing and Memoir Rolling Workshop with Giovanna Iozzi

This course is designed for everyone – whether you are already life writing or are wanting to make a start. Giovanna tailors material for individuals within the group, so that there is a range of exercises and suggested reading, allowing complete beginners to work alongside more established life writers.

Prioritise Your Writing with Alison Chandler – Two Workshops

This workshop-based course is ideal if you want to make headway with your writing project whether a novel, a memoir, or a short story collection. Each session is tailored to participants’ specific goals.

Meet the Agent! Talk with Sara Langham of David Higham Associates

During this friendly session Sara will speak about the role of a literary agent. She will discuss the submission process, how to prepare your work for submission and how to get it noticed by an agent. There will be the opportunity to introduce your own work and plenty of time for questions. £8 Date TBC.
