zdenek and petr outside bohem breweryZdeněk Kudr and Petr Skoček outside their brewery in Whittington RoadBohem Brewery, located in Palmers Green (just - it's in the Enfield part of Whittington Road) - has added more outlets for its excellent authentic Czech-style beers.

There was a time when the only place where you could drink the Bohem beers was in the street at the monthly Myddleton Road Market or at the Prince, in Trinity Road, Wood Green.  Then Bohem opened their own Tap Room, which you can visit seven evenings a week in Myddleton Road, very close to Bowes Park Station.

new brewing equipment at bohemTo enable sales to new outlets Petr and Zdeněk installed new brewing equipment earlier this yearRecent additions include the magnificent Great Northern Railway Tavern in Hornsey and the Little Green Dragon in Green Lanes, Winchmore Hill (which, despite its "micro" size is doing a great job compensating for the loss of its big brother turned supermarket), and, right in the centre of Palmers Green, My Time.  My TIme now has a licence to sell alcohol and stays open until 11pm on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.  Brian at My Time prides himself on sourcing his food and drink locally - as well as Bohem beers in bottle, he stocks gin from Palmers Green's own distillery - Old Bakery Gin.

And if you're in town and in need of some proper lager, you can now drink Bohem at the Wigmore, a brand new and rather upmarket pub/restaurant in Langham Place.  The Wigmore prides itself on its food, but unlike many pub/restaurants selling good food it realises that it makes little sense to offer its customers only the very bland lagers produced by international megabreweries.
