The deadline for entering Enfield in Bloom 2025 is 16th June. Entering the competition is free and straightforward.

The Enfield in Bloom garden competition is open once more, encouraging us to make lasting improvements to our local environment by creating colourful and beautiful green spaces, both small and large.

The competition is more than just gardening. Participating in the competition promotes horticultural best practice, sustainability and friendly communities.

The Enfield in Bloom gardening competition is free and open to any residents who are keen to brighten up Enfield with eye catching plants and flowers. Whether in window boxes, pots, beds or gardens, there’s something for everyone, including schools and communities.

The many competition categories are sponsored by local businesses or environmental groups who are committed to supporting our efforts to improve our environment.

Entering Enfield in Bloom 2025

Competition Categories

  • Best Large Front Garden over 20 square metres.
  • Best Medium Front Garden under 20 square metres.
  • Best Small Front Garden/Balcony under 10 square metres to include containers, window boxes and hanging baskets.
  • Best Front Garden also used for Parking Any size. Excluding properties with garage facilities.
  • Best All Year Round Front Garden Sustainable Planting Open to front gardens of any size.
  • Best Residential Street Open to groups of eight or more dwellings.
  • Best Communal Gardens Open to all blocks of flats and retirement homes.
  • Best Display in a Public Area Open to all civic buildings including Fire and Police Stations, churches etc.
  • Best School Grounds with Environmental and Educational Aspect Open to all schools.
  • Best Flower Bed or Street Planter
  • Best Environmental/Wildlife Garden/ Meadow Open to all Entrants.
  • Exceptional Horticultural Contribution for the Local Community Open to all open spaces including; alleyways, verges, park beds or walled gardens visible or accessible to the public.
  • Innovative Growing Space or Allotment Any size. To encourage ‘grow your own fruit and veg’. Open to local residents.
  • The Livia Award Presented to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the local environment. Sponsored by the Galli-Atkinson famil.

All entries must be visible to the public except the Environmental Garden, and the innovative growing space/allotment – which can be in the back garden. Good Luck!

A competitor may not enter the same display in more than one category.

Judging and awards

Judging will take place between 23rd June and 7th July.

Awards are sponsored by Tottenham Hotspur, Clockhouse Nursery Ltd, the NEU, AH Nicholls & Sons, Tesco Enfield CFC 6440, GP Garden Services, Ritec International Limited.

The Enfield in Bloom awards ceremony will be held on 16th October at the Chickenshed theatre and prizes will be presented by the Mayor of Enfield and Enfield in Bloom sponsors.
