Salsa with Sureka, now in its 13th year, returns this week with a new spring season of Salsa Wednesdays at Bounds Green School.
This video was filmed at a previous venue - classes now take place at Bounds Green School and all classes run from 7pm to 8pm
Classes at two levels - Beginners and Intermediates - are held at the same time (7pm to 8pm) but with different teachers.
There's a choice of 7-week or 14-week courses at both levels. All courses start on Wednesday 14th January; 7-week courses run until 25th February, 14-week courses until 15th April.
On the Beginners course you'll learn the basic steps of Salsa, the rhythm of Salsa music, the techniques of leading and following and the style and body language to look good and feel confident on the dance floor.
On the Intermediates course you will learn new routines using the basic steps you've mastered. There will be greater emphasis on the techniques of leading and following, musical interpretation and styling so you can start to really express yourself on the dance floor.
In addition to the lessons, Salsa With Sureka runs parties and special events throughout the year as well as weekly drinks after class. Twice a year there are charity parties to raise money for worthy courses - they've raised more than £2000 for Save The Children, Water Aid, North London Samaritans and many more.
