Come and join this friendly u3a course: an opportunity to build confidence, meet people, develop your own personal strategy for retirement, and explore new ideas and possibilities.
The 6-week course is designed for those who are newly/semi-retired or thinking of retirement (but could also apply to any of us who are retired). The aims of the course:
- To help participants feel more confident about who they are/will be as a retired person.
- To develop a personal ‘strategy’ for making the most of retirement.
- To develop opportunities and ideas to explore and follow up.
It is based on ‘Retiring with Attitude’ by Caroline Lodge and Eileen Carnell and was developed by Sheffield and Bromley u3as into a 6 week course which is now available to u3as nationally.
Course details
- Tuesdays, 10.30am–12.30pm, 13 October–24 November (no session on 3 November)
- Community Room, Palmers Green Library, Broomfield Lane, N13 4EY
- Course fee: £30 (includes course materials and light refreshments)
- U3A membership is also required: £16 per year, giving you access to a range of local leisure opportunities.
