It's not too late to input into the discussions about how to memorialise Broomfield House and restore some of Broomfield Park's historic features.

The team that are working on future plans for the house and park are still accepting input from residents - but only for a "few more days".
"Together, we'll breathe new life into the park by safely removing some of the remains of Broomfield House and develop plans for a major Heritage Fund bid in 2026."
There's outline information below and links to more details and to the survey.
What will happen?
- The damaged remains of Broomfield House will be carefully taken down
- The scaffolding around it will be removed
- Local people will help decide how to remember the house
- The park will get new signs, gardens, and stories about the past
- A special Baroque water garden will be created
- Salvaged parts of the house may be reused for memorial features
How long will it take?
- The full project should be completed by 2028
Who is paying for this?
- The National Lottery Heritage Fund is supporting the project, using money raised by National Lottery players.
How much will it cost?
- £530,000 has already been received for planning. This funding will also help progress plans for a full National Lottery grant in 2026, to reconnect the house and park through memorials, storytelling, and landscaping.
