Starting next month, Palmers Green Action Team will be handing over the management of markets in Devonshire Square to a professional events agency.
The new-look Devonshire Square was formally opened by the Mayor of Enfield, Cllr Margaret Greer, in May 2025
Kiwi Events, who describe themselves as a "one-stop agency that plans, curates and manages events", will make their Palmers Green debut on 11th April, under the title April Awakening, advertised as "a celebration of spring, fresh beginnings and fantastic independent traders".
Kiwi advertise themselves as "experts in event management from initial planning through to execution, ensuring a cohesive and professionally delivered experience". They will be working in partnership with the PG Action Team and Enfield Council to "maximise the potential of Devonshire Square and bring local vendors and community vibes to the area".
The new arrangement was announced by the PG Action Team on their website:
We’re delighted to announce a new partnership between Palmers Green Action Team and Kiwi Events to deliver a vibrant series of markets in Devonshire Square.
Our community markets have been hugely popular over the past few years. We know how much local residents value them — they bring life to the square, support small businesses, and create a real sense of community. But as a volunteer-led organisation, it has become increasingly challenging for PGAT to sustain and grow the markets on our own.
That’s why we’re excited to be working with Kiwi Events, who will bring fresh energy, professional expertise and an exciting mix of traders, both much-loved local favourites and new businesses coming to Palmers Green for the first time.
Kiwi Events specialise in delivering high-quality, themed markets and community events, handling everything from trader sourcing and compliance to on-the-day management and marketing
Their experience in curating vibrant markets including large-scale community events with strong attendance and excellent feedback will be very beneficial for the high street.
In addition to the Spring Awakening, Kiwi have a further five markets planned for this year:
- 9th May – Bank Holiday Market
- 13th June – Fresh Produce Market
- 12th September – Artisan Market
- 31st October – Halloween Market
- 12th December – Christmas Market
