Question 1. What do think is good about the area?

Broomfield Park, some nice restaurants, 2 libraries, good choice of supermarkets and chemists

Question 2. What do you think is less good about the area?

Selection of shops on the high road is very poor – far too many charity shops, hairdressers, dry cleaners. No independent shops, absolutely no shops selling childrens clothes, no large clothes chains, such as River Island, Next, Gap which would encourage trade within the area.

Repeated dog fouling in my area (Kingsley Road/Hazelwood Lane area) is a big problem, which I have contacted the council about more than once – I don’t believe the roads are swept as often as they should be.

Question 3. What would you like to see to improve the area?

Better shops. Restricted parking in Kingsley Road/Hazelwood lane at certain times during the day.

Question 4b. Specific aspects – parking

Parking in my road is awful – and even worse at the beginning and end of the school day when parents from Hazelwood School park with little thought for the residents (blocking in driveways etc).

Question 4e. Specific aspacts – type and range of shops

I do wonder how people manage to get financed by banks when they wander in with a business plan for yet another hairdressers/coffee shop/dry cleaners – we are swamped with them

Question 4g. Specific aspects – the Triangle public space

Looked lovely at Christmas with the lit tree decoration
