Question 2. What do you think is less good about the area?

I live in Southgate and very seldom go to Palmers Green as I don't find it a very appealing place to shop. There are a number of reasons:

  • It is difficult to cross the road at Green Lanes near the Triangle. I find there is little thought or priority for pedestrians
  • For some reason the footpaths seem cluttered
  • Parking is a problem
  • It seems to be a mish mash of shops
  • There is nothing stylish about the shops
  • Shopkeepers in general don't make their windows and shop fronts attractive
  • It would be good if there were some nice boutique style shops

    • All the planted containers and decorations in the world would not attract me to go there unless there are interesting and varied shops with character. The only strong points about Palmers Green are Multiyork and Waitrose.
