Question 1.  What do think is good about the area?

Good – trees and greenery. Edwardian / older houses

Question 2.  What do you think is less good about the area?

Less good – very poor paving which is dangerous particularly on side roads. Too many charity shops

Question 3. What would you like to see to improve the area?

Improve – pavements. A better range of smaller shops

Question 4a. Specific aspects – traffic

Question 4b. Specific aspects – parking

Parking – too many restrictions / meters

Question 4c. Specific aspects – clutter

Clutter – litter in palmers green can be very annoying, ?????? and bad for the environment.

Question 4d. Specific aspects – look of the shops/architecture

Look of shops – I prefer original architecture. Some shops (usually charity shops) often have piles of rubbish / contributions in their doorway. Fast food restaurants eg McDonalds also attract litter

Question 4e. Specific aspacts – type and range of shops

Type of shops – better quality shops would improve the area –eg clothing / shoes. Waitrose and multi York are great and set a standard we should be following. Independent traders for example kitchen wear would be a step up from charity shops. Having said that I would not want to see all of them disappear – just ??? of them. Red cross is fantastic for books!

Question 4g. Specific aspects – the Triangle public space

Triangle – could be made more attractive. Get rid of old toilets

Question 4h. Specific aspects – Greenery

Greenery – good

Any other comments

Other – throw away the multi coloured Christmas lights and use white ones only. We don’t need them everywhere; it is a waste of money.
