Question 1. What do think is good about the area?
Good – well lit mostly clean streets with little clutter. Lots of high street banks are around and supermarkets. Shops stay open for commuters coming home after work
Question 2. What do you think is less good about the area?
Less good – parking is difficult and expensive and few spaces available in the evening when visiting restaurants
Question 3. What would you like to see to improve the area?
Improve – more high street shops, better parking facilities with some being free for X mins if just need to quickly get something in town. More restaurants of a varying nature with more evening entertainment in pubs / bars.

Traffic – usually busy but plenty of pedestrian crossings which are quick to turn lights red so not a problem.

Parking – limited availability on high street and no car parks available in evening which makes it difficult. It discourages people to come into town to grab a few things if they have to pay to park.

Clutter -not considered a problem

Look of shops – generally ok and well maintained. Several discount stores make the area look cheap
Question 4e. Specific aspacts – type and range of shops
Type of shops – there are am lot of bargain shops but not many high street stores. Not many clothes stores, travel agents or gift shops / card shops which would be useful
Question 4f. Specific aspects – amount and use of pavement space
Pavement – currently not a problem
Question 4g. Specific aspects – the Triangle public space
Triangle – seems wasteful as nothing really there
Question 4h. Specific aspects – Greenery
Greenery – seems nice and makes the town look more attractive

Other – would be good to have a market once a week in a prominent area of town to attract people
