A High Court judge has ruled that Enfield Council's previous Labour administration acted unlawfully when it granted planning permission for Tottenham Hotspur football club to build a women's training centre on part of the former golf course in Whitewebbs Park.

The High Court judge's decision followed a judicial review carried out at the initiative of the campaign group Guardians of Whitewebbs, who argued successfully that the council “breached transparency provisions” and “misled its own planning committee”.
In a video recorded for the Guardians of Whitewebbs and published in their Instagram feed, arboricultural and ecological consultant Russell Miller gives his view about the court case and the actions of the previous council administration.
