Like many charities, Haven House children's hospice raises money through its events programme and its charity shops, but all events are now cancelled for the foreseeable future and all shops are closed. It expects a loss of income of £500,000 in the next three months alone, and has launched an emergency appeal for donations.
In order to continue to support vulnerable children and their families, Haven House has launched an urgent appeal.

A crowdfunding campaign has been started on Spacehive to raise the funds needed for Mind in Enfield to open its Friends' Cafe to the public instead of just to its clients. This project will make healthy food available to a wider range of people whilst at the same time help to break down the barriers between those with and without mental health issues, make potential clients aware of its services, and open up more volunteering opportunities.

Bambos Charalambous MP took time out of his busy schedule on Friday 10th May to visit Macmillan Cancer Support professionals at North Middlesex University Hospital. He has a particular interest in the exceptional work taking place within the Macmillan Palliative care team at the hospital. Mr Charalambous hopes that their example of good practice can be replicated across the country in line with his recently proposed private members bill aiming to improve the provision of care for terminally ill patients nationwide to make the system better and fairer.
