Donate to the North Enfield Food Bank on Mitzvah Day - or any other day

Enfield Council is urging staff, residents and politicians to support the North Enfield Foodbank.  The Council is linking this call to Mitzvah Day, on which by Jewish tradition people give their time to help others.  This year Mitzvah Day falls on 27th November. If you would like to help us support older and disabled people who can't get out to the library to receive their much loved reading and audio materials, please contact us. Launch of the Big Friendly Read 2016

Enfield Libraries are launching the 2016 Summer Reading Challenge - The Big Friendly Read - on the green outside Enfield Town Library on Saturday 16th July.  And they are still looking for volunteer Summer Reading Ambassadors. We reported a while back about the call from the Royal Voluntary Service (RVS - formerly the WRVS) for new volunteers to deliver library books to homes - a replacement for the mobile library service.
