After many months of consultations and redrafting, Enfield Council are set to publish the "Proposed Submission Version" of the North Circular Area Action Plan (NCAAP) on 8th March. After publication, there will be a six-month statutory consultation period.

On 9th March the Council will present the plan to the public at a special event to be held at Trinity at Bowes Centre (corner of Bowes Road and Palmerston Road), starting at 11am and finishing at 3pm.

The full extent of the area covered by the NCAAP is indicated by yellow shading on the map below.

The Area Action Plan will place great emphasis on the sustainability of neighbourhoods, in terms of having a good mix of housing types, local shops, good links to Central London and other London areas for work and shopping purposes, local community infrastructure (health centres, libraries, leisure centres, open space etc) and a high quality environment.  It will identify the scope for creation of new homes and where they should be located.

On 20th February Enfield Council released a news report about the forthcoming publication.  The full text of the draft Action Plan is available here.
