toys delivered so far 1

Each year at Christmas time Zebras Children and Adults Charity, the chosen partner charity of Enfield Town FC for 2019-20, supports some of the most vulnerable children within the London Borough of Enfield.

The families they support are not only living with disability but are facing poverty, and are therefore not able to provide the magical experience for their children that others can.

The charity receives referrals from Enfield Council Early Intervention Team and are given the list of the most vulnerable children in the borough. The charity runs toy appeals so that they can purchase or collect donated brand new toys for the children which are then sorted into gift bags and delivered by hand to the families in time for Christmas. The toys need to be brand new as many of the children have life limiting conditions and therefore cannot risk any cross infection.

So far Zebras charity have already delivered to 11 families and within those families there are 26 children, all of which have received a big bag of new toys.

Last week the charity received a further email from the Early Intervention team with more referrals. They now have 29 more children to support. The children have a wish list which is as follows:

  • Action figures - Spider-man, Captain America,
  • Toy Cars
  • Remote control toys
  • Cause and effect toys
  • Sensory toys with music and lights
  • Arts and crafts
  • Educational books
  • Puzzles, and threading toys

If you can support the charity by providing them with a toy from the list below, you really will be supporting an amazing cause which is making a direct difference to many children's lives this Christmas.

Enfield Town FC will be collecting Toys for Zebra at the Club Shop, on First Team home games up to and including Bowers & Pitsea match on 7th December 2019.
