North London's children's hospice, Noah's Ark, was in the news earlier this month, when ITV reported on the serious shortage of nurses in hospices for children - a shocking 18.6%. The news report featured footage filmed at the Ark's headquarters in Barnet and on the road visiting patients at home.

The TV exposure seems to have helped Noah's Ark - the size of their nursing team has since doubled! Let's hope that other children's hospices have also benefited.

Noah's Ark doesn't just care for the young patients, but also for their parents and siblings. They've been posting a serious of Family Stories on their website. The latest, Samuel's Story, explains how the hospice is looking after the family of a boy born with a rare genetic condition.

At the start of October Noah's Ark will be running a matched funding campaign, where donations to the charity are doubled by a partner organisation. Look out for information on PGC closer to the time.
