This is a unique project celebrating the incredible contributions of Black people to British culture. This project is designed to open up conversations about the positive and negative experiences of being Black in the UK and how it affects the lives of young people today.
Through 3 interactive sessions, students from 3 schools across Enfield were given the opportunity to express themselves through spoken word and explore the topic of Being Black in Britain; demonstrating their creativity, knowledge and understanding of the history of the British Black experience.
On October 31st, the students will perform their work in front of a live audience at the Dugdale Arts Centre. Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to witness the talent of Enfield’s youth and their passion for history and art through poetry.
Will they be our next British pioneers? Come down to the Dugdale Arts Centre on October 31st and find out!
