St Harmonica's Blues Club: The Customtones + Rt Revd Swifty Lezarre

Friday 9 June 2023 8.30pm

The Southgate Club, 17 Chase Side, N14 5BP (Entrance is in Crown Lane)

202306 customtones at st harmonicas

We don’t get to put the Customtones on at the club nearly as often as we’d like since Steve Taylor has been based in Portugal, so catch ‘em while you can - one of the most accomplished and original bands playing the blues that you’ll ever see. Featuring the ’Sultan of Slide' Martin Fieber, supported by the immaculate Steve Taylor on keyboards and one of the finest and most experienced rhythm sections out there in the form of Mick Parker, drums and Terry Duggan, bass.

Support comes from The Rt Rev Swifty LeZarre, who has reunited himself with his dobro and promises a set of country blues in his own inimitable style. Time to testify.

Support act at 8.30pm followed by two sets from the main act starting around 9.15pm.

Admission is free to card holding St Harmonica’s Blues Club Members (membership costs just £10 for the year) otherwise £10 on the door. The hat is passed around to pay for the musicians.

See you there.

On Saturday 10th June our collaboration with Livestock and Music from the Black Barn continues with the annual Beer & Blues event at Forty Hall Farm, when we present two one-hour sets by the Feelgood Band. Indistinguishable from the real thing and endorsed by Wilko Johnson, John B Sparks and the Big Figure, the Feelgood Band will take you back to those pub rock days of the Torrington and other iconic London venues. Mark Sibley fronts this band - you will not be disappointed.

“100% spot on stage presence and performance” – Wilko

Support comes from the wonderful acoustic duo of Kelvin Davies with Gary Jones.
