St Harmonica's Blues Club: Zoe Schwarz Blue Commotion + Pulling Strings

Friday 19 July 8.30pm

The Southgate Club, 17 Chase Side, N14 5BP (Entrance is in Crown Lane)

202407 zoe schwarz at st harmonicas

We’re always excited to welcome a band to St Harmonica’s Blues Club for the first time. Zoe Schwartz Blue Commotion come very highly recommended by our resident film maker Mark Hawkins who, sadly for him, is away this weekend and will miss this performance!

Vibrant and melodic, funky rocking blues featuring Hammond organ, drums, guitar and vocals. Zoe Schwarz Blue Commotion refresh the blues genre with eclectic arrangements, virtuosic playing and vocal prowess. Expect an exciting live set based around rootsy original songs, strong catchy riffs and exciting grooves; they mix old school tradition with contemporary verve and sophistication.

Zoe’s dynamic and commanding vocal delivery and interpretive ability is complimented by the unmistakable and inimitable touch and flow of Rob Koral’s guitar; together with the highly accomplished rhythm section of Pete Whittaker on Hammond organ and Eddie John on drums they bring massive musical authority and the ability to push the music in unpredictable and exciting directions.

“A great band. Terrific musicians all four of them” - Paul Jones, BBC Radio 2

Support comes in the form of Pulling Strings, Tig Trafford with Simon Bennett, who will play from 8.30 followed by two sets from Zoe Schwarz Blue Commotion starting just after 9.00pm.

St Harmonica’s Blues Club Membership: membership cards for 2024 are available on the door @ £10.00 for the year. Your card then gives you free admission to all our Friday Blues evenings and Sunday Blues Jams throughout 2024. We just ask for a contribution into the hat to go towards towards the musicians costs each week.

See you soon,

Dave, Simon, & John

While we admire and support the Christmas campaigns that we see pop up in December, we also know that help is urgently needed all year round, each and every year. As some people pack away after the festive break, we are still here.

Our support is not limited to a food package, but it leaps beyond - we form connections, we listen and respond to everyone who steps through our doors. We open up a warm, safe, environment which aims to feel like a home away from home.

For us to continue to thrive and grow, and keep supporting as many people as possible, we are asking you to become a Friend of Cooking Champions. Even a donation of just £5-10 per month can make a HUGE impact on the lives of those who come through our doors.

Pop to our People's Fundraising page to donate, and we promise to keep you updated with how your support is making a difference. Thank you, we appreciate you! Team Cooking Champions
