While we admire and support the Christmas campaigns that we see pop up in December, we also know that help is urgently needed all year round, each and every year. As some people pack away after the festive break, we are still here.
Our support is not limited to a food package, but it leaps beyond - we form connections, we listen and respond to everyone who steps through our doors. We open up a warm, safe, environment which aims to feel like a home away from home.
For us to continue to thrive and grow, and keep supporting as many people as possible, we are asking you to become a Friend of Cooking Champions. Even a donation of just £5-10 per month can make a HUGE impact on the lives of those who come through our doors.
Pop to our People's Fundraising page to donate, and we promise to keep you updated with how your support is making a difference. Thank you, we appreciate you! Team Cooking Champions
This year's Palmers Green Festival will be held in Broomfield Park on 4th September. Put the date in your diary now, it's not to be missed!
No further information available at the moment, except that the weather will be sunny and hot, as in 2014 and 2015 (fingers crossed!).......
Whether or not you believe the stories about ancient scrolls and witches under the pond, there's no doubt that thousands of children and their parents were spellbound by the extraordinary happenings in Broomfield Park on Saturday night.
There were no tricks at this Halloween event. Visitors of all ages were treated to imaginative storytelling, open air theatre, puppet shows, strange costumes, eery illuminations, glowing pumpkins and spooky bottles, all culminating at 7pm in the Scream.......
Streetz Ahead thrilled unsuspecting shoppers in Morrisons Palmers Green on Sunday when their flash mob Thriller dancers launched a week of Palmers Scream pre-events.

They were FANTASTIC and the audience were amazed and all had their cameras out! Visit streetzahead.org/thriller-flash-mob.......
At 5.30pm on Halloween (31st October) Broomfield Park will be lit up by Spooky Lanterns, each containing a glo-stick, provided free courtesy of Range Homes.
There will be two family drop-in sessions to help you make lanterns:
Thursday 29th October from 3.30pm at Kiva Cafe (corner Green Lanes and Hazelwood Lane)
Friday 30th October 10.30 to 11.30am in Palmers Green Library
If you can't make either session, just decorate a plastic milk bottle to bring to the boating pond at Broomfield.......
Congratulations to Phillip and the whole Palmers Green Festival team for yet another brilliant Festival. How did they manage to get the weather to cooperate so well?
The photos below say more about the Festival than any amount of words. These are just a few from a big selection in the official Festival Photo Gallery. See if you can spot yourself there!
Do you have a great photo that you took yourself? If so, you can upload it to our forums or Facebook page........

If you do take a stall, you'll be joining an eclectic collection of organisations large and small. The current list of stallholders is on the Festival website.
As always, the Festival organisers depend on teams of volunteers to run this big event. You too could.......
As anyone who went last year or the year before will know, Palmers Green Festival is a brilliant way of bringing people together and having fun. It's entirely volunteer run and a big festival needs a lot of volunteers to make it run smoothly and safely.
The Festival organisers are still looking for more volunteers for various roles. If you fancy helping out, visit the Festival 2015 Volunteers Zone to find out how to get involved........

The Festival is organised entirely by volunteers for the benefit of the local community – now we need to recruit more volunteers who can help out on the day.

The Summer Exhibition, organised by The N21 Festival team, will take place on Winchmore Hill Green and in the Kings Head pub on Saturday 5th July 2014 between 10am and 6.00pm.
The N21 Festival would like to hear from any artists, photographers, graphic designers, sculptors and crafts people if they would like to exhibit their works. There is no screening process, and previous shows have indicated that we can expect anything from first-time exhibitors to experienced fineartists.
